The National Cartoon Gallery (formerly known as Bunker Cartoon Gallery) is a heritage item of local significance in the Coffs Harbour area. It was a WWII air raid bunker that was converted to a gallery in the 1990s.
The project was for the addition of a new gallery, cafe, cinema, community space and office area spanning over the existing “bunker” 5 metres above the existing floor level. The lower level office and foyer connects to the old entry.
